Veteran Shakeup: Bulls Set to Part Ways with $22 Million Two-Time NBA All-Star Nikola Vucevic as Trade Deadline Approaches.

Insider Says 1 Bulls Veteran Will Likely Be Moved At Trade Deadline.

Once again, the Chicago Bulls are somewhat stuck in limbo.

The front office has refused to undergo a full-scale rebuild, yet it is not good enough to compete at the highest level.

This time, however, they might finally move on from one of their veterans while they can still get decent value in return for him.

According to Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports, the Bulls might look to move on from Nikola Vucevic.

The former Orlando Magic big man has bounced back in a big way this season, and he’s posting more than decent numbers.

Currently, he scores 20.9 points per game, along with 10 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, and is one of the few players averaging a double-double for the season.

He also has a 67.2% true shooting percentage, knocking down three-pointers at a 46.9% rate.

Vucevic has never been much of a defender, but he can dominate the offensive glass and has a smooth touch on offense.

While his salary and defensive limitations made him a polarizing figure among teams looking for a big man, these numbers cannot be overlooked.

The Bulls need to get younger and find more talent in the NBA Draft, and they will have no use for a good yet aging player like Vucevic.

Given his offensive resurgence this season and his ability to stretch the floor with his shooting, he should gauge interest from several teams looking to make a playoff push once the trade deadline approaches.
