In a major development for baseball and sports entertainment, the Savannah Bananas have unveiled details for their highly anticipated 2026 World Tour, known formally as the Banana Ball World Tour and Championship League. The announcement marks the most ambitious expansion yet for a team that has transformed traditional baseball into a high-energy, fan-centric spectacle.
At its core, the 2026 World Tour is much more than a simple barnstorming schedule. For the first time, the Savannah Bananas and their growing lineup of “Banana Ball” teams are launching a formal Championship League that will bring games to 75 stadiums across 45 U.S. states. This marks a significant scaling up from their already successful 2025 tour, which saw them sell out major venues and draw millions of fans.
The tour opens in Tallahassee, Florida, where fans will be treated to three action-packed nights of Banana Ball from February 26–28, 2026. Early matchups include Firefighters vs. Loco Beach Coconuts and, on the final night, the Savannah Bananas vs. the Texas Tailgaters at Florida State’s Doak Campbell Stadium.
One of the most notable features of the 2026 calendar is its mix of venue types. In addition to traditional baseball parks, Banana Ball will play in 14 Major League Baseball stadiums and 10 football venues — including some of the largest in the country like Texas A&M’s Kyle Field and Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium. This bold approach reflects the Bananas’ goal of reaching as many fans as possible, from major metropolitan areas to smaller markets.
Several marquee stops have already been confirmed, highlighting the breadth of the tour. In Cincinnati, the Bananas will return to Great American Ball Park June 19–21, 2026, expanding their visit to a full three-day weekend after back-to-back sellouts in 2025. In San Diego, the team will bring its unique brand of entertainment to Petco Park March 21–22 as part of the official league schedule. The Bananas are also slated to make history at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough with games against the Loco Beach Coconuts, marking the club’s first events at the iconic venue.
Other stops include games at Wrigley Field in Chicago (July 24–26) and appearances in Truist Park (Atlanta), bringing the showmanship of Banana Ball to some of baseball’s most storied settings.
A key part of the 2026 experience is the ticketing process. Due to overwhelming demand and limited seating in many cities, the Bananas are again using a ticket lottery system, where fans register for a chance to purchase tickets. This approach has become a hallmark of the tour, ensuring broad accessibility while managing demand.
Importantly, the 2026 tour isn’t just about games — it’s about entertainment. Banana Ball continues to embrace unconventional rules (like fans recording outs by catching foul balls and time-limited games), choreographed dances, and interactive features that make every stop feel like a festival. These elements have helped the Savannah Bananas transcend traditional sports and become a cultural phenomenon.
In summary, the 2026 Savannah Bananas World Tour represents a landmark evolution for Banana Ball. With expanded reach, a formal championship league, and iconic venues across the country, the tour promises to deliver an unforgettable season of baseball where fun, fan involvement, and spectacle take center stage.
